Pet Transport- Fraud Fighters Strike Back !

There is a new way to counter act this common Internet SCAM. This is the adopt a pet or puppy just pay the shipping SCAM, almost always coming from but not limited to Cameroon, Africa, Nigeria etc.. It seems we are not the only ones fed up with this trickery. With every day that passes this SCAM weakens. In this post I will try to provide some new insight into ways we can strike back against these criminals who prey on the unsuspecting. I am including some tips from our undercover SCAM buster who's name shall be changed to protect his identity. Below are his tips on how to avoid these SCAMS, fight back against these crooks and band with others who have also joined the fight!

Willy Eckislike's- Advice on puppy/pet scammers.........Puppy/pet scammers will post on website forums and blogs pretending to offer 'puppies' or various other animals for adoption for a small fee. They normally ask for all payments to be made by either western union or the money gram method. If you do send any money by any of these methods you will LOSE your money. They normally operate from west African countries such as Nigeria,Ghana,Cameroon and republic DE Benin. If you do get into communication with a scammer, please DO NOT send the following information 1. home address and telephone number 2. bank/credit card details 3. any form of ID eg passport or drivers license etc. 4. MONEY by any form if any scammers sends you any ID,it will be fake.they will workhard by e mail and phone to convince you they are legit. Always 'Google' their e mail address and if they provide any, company name DO YOUR RESEARCH. NEVER SEND ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN THE ANIMAL IN REAL LIFE (in person) always buy from a recognized breeder to be safe. If you have been a victim of this type of scam or any other please visit scamwarners.com for free advice if you feel you want to take up baiting these criminals, please visit and join http://www.419eater.com/ where there are people who will teach and advise you on how to shut down these crooks.

These are all great ways to combat this SCAM. If these crooks are claiming that a PET TRANSPORT company will be handling the delivery of any pet, make sure to confirm that they are a real company and on the up and up. As always, if it sounds to good too be true, IT IS!

As a member of 419Eater I'm pleased to see warnings such as this. The more people that are aware of such scams the less the scammers profit. Never buy a puppy sight unseen, especially from a foreign country with payment by Western Union or MoneyGram. If you do you can kiss goodbye to your money, with no chance of recovering it.

I was scammed too.I had an e-mail posted for a bird I wanted.I got an e-mail from a man in UK and he said he had the bird I needed. He was willing to pay $150.00 and I pay the rest of $200.00.He used animalsaways page(animalsaway3ukayahoo.com)I got the fake page and they said the bird is at the air port and I need to pay the balance so the bird can be shipped. The fake company said that they are being audited and I would have to send a wire(western union)so i did and I found out by animals away by luck that there is a scam going on.I called western union and was able to get my money back!!There is a live person to talk to.If I didn't call he would have taken my money.

You just saved me $300. I was in the midst of a transaction with a Ben Choe email benitoroy2157@gmail.com from "California" for a pair of French Bulldog puppies for a $500 delivery fee. I was contacted by City Wide cargo service and was asked to use western union to send $300 deposit to Abang Collin in Cameroon. I googled he company and Abang Collins then came up with this site. The seller and the fake shipping service both used very poor english in their writings. The ad was listed in vastpets.com

The best way to keep people from being SCAMMED is for them to learn about SCAMS. Many people do not learn about SCAMS until it is too.

The are a lot of sites on the web that try to help people no to be taken. We noticed that "419Eater" made a comment on this site. They have a great site!

We at "scamfighters.org" also help people learn about the different kinds of SCAMS. As far as Pet scams go, a good way to find out if it is a SCAM is to "Google" the would be SCAMMER's email address. If you come up with a list of "places" that the address is posted and in different cities, you might have a SCAM on your hands. Then again, SCAMMERS change their addresses often.

For more information, feel free to visit us.

I was just about scammed too. I was looking in to getting a english bulldog. They started out saying that they were from Cameroon. After reading the posts on this site, I asked the person how the puppy will be shipped. They said Camair. The persons name was Frank and Jennifer Awemo. email jawemo@yahoo.com.

One thing you can do is ask the people you are talking with to take a picture of the puppy with an object of your choosing (coke can or a piece of paper with your name on it.) If they don't or make up an excuse, they are a scammer!!

there is one that is trying to scam me right now.

her name is Angelina Love, she's saying she has a number of English Bull Terrier puppies for adoption, said she's from Sydney but staying in Brisbane for a while, she told me a couple of days ago that she wont be coming back from Brisbane.

she didnt even give me the option of choosing or meeting the dogs, she says she's just sent it to "Zion International Pet Transport"

i dont fkn think so! she doesnt know im on to her, so i think i'll f*ck her around a bit.

i sure wish the puppy was real, though... so cute :(

We just got scammed by a fake company calling them selves GLOBAL EXPRESS SHIPPING OF PETS.(GESOP)

We were looking for a English Bulldog and found one that was up for adoption, the people with the dog called themselves Kings Leo.
Once we worked out we wanted the dog they said they were using GESOP to transport the dog.
GESOP got incontact with us and told ua to pay 300$au to a western union account in which we did and they told us the dog was on transportation then once it landed in singapore from london which would take more then 5 hours ! they told us we needed to pay 820$ for the dogs life insurance for the transportation which expired 3 days before he even left london !

We did not pay the 820$ as we relised it was a scam but did pay the 300$

What can we do to stop these people from continueing this scam and is there anyway we can get our money back ?

Thanks people

I just scammed today by these people. There was a lady who posted "her" pets on this website http://www.muamat.com/classifieds/308/posts/8_Pets_Animals/89_Cats_Kittens/1736113_Cute_Balinese_and_persian_kittens_for_a_perfect_homing.html so since im interested i contacted her, she said she's in UK and due to her work she needed to send them for adoption. And on her email there she mentioned macaw parrots that she wanted someone to adopt them. So since we have place to cater for them i have told her that she can send them with the kittens. The exchange of emails was very fast and she seems so desperate to let them go for free. So next day the shipping company (gesop delivery) contacted me and informing me that they can not deliver the pets unless i pay the rest of the charges which i agreed with her (Sidney) as per my contricbution, that was in the morning, the in the afternoon they said that they discovered that the insurance fees of the kittens and the birds have not been validated which i will need to pay 850dhs (since it was refundable on the delivery, i agreed as SIDNEY doesn't have money to contribute except the wire transfer of WESTERN UNION which is 100dhs) because i thought that will be the last payment that i will be having i will be able to provide. But then after sending this 850dhs, they said "Those pets just went through their last check and we realized the RABVAC of the kittens had expired.
We need 350 dhs in order to update the vaccine. As soon as this money is paid we will be moving your pets without any more problems." which i already felt something is wrong. It took me sometime to realise that it scammed when i asked the help of my husband on what should i do. And he immediately asked to check the shipping company on the website searching on these words "gesop pet shipping" made your page to appear on the 1st list. Which i should have done from moment one :(

I think WESTERN UNION should also warn people who's sending money to CAMAROON to double check this website and see it maybe find out that their story is already on this page.

We are people who's just trying to help adopting pets that needs care and time but what to do we get at these people?!!!

There was an ad for a free sphynx cat on a local advertising site, I responded to the ad and the person was telling me they were leaving the country (migrating overseas for work as he had put it) so they were trying to find a home for their cat; next time he emails me (couple days later) he says hes in Sioux Falls SD, then later says he is going somewhere else. He said that Global Express Pet Shippers would be taking care of everything. I found this extremely suspicious that they expected me to make a payment to some one by the name of "FON LOVET ANYE" in THAILAND! ... Needless to say I emailed the "company" back stating that I will NOT send funds overseas as it is obviously a scam... thank god ive heard about this enough to know a scam when I see one!
The guys email address that was provided in the emails about the cat was: sdvencato@gmail.com

Hello. I am 17 years old and came across my first scammer today. "Vanessa Ray" offered 2 free English Bulldog puppies as long as I described my home and payed half the shipping fee. Of course this lady or guy was dumb enough to Email me a legit looking message. So legit that all the links worked! haha. I was having a blast. Anything i clicked on was a different pet transportation agency. It starts off with NY Pet Chauffeur, Pet Express, Animailers, First Animal transport company, and Pet Air. At first I was confused (dont judge i had just woken up lol) I had no clue witch of these links were the "pet airline i was reading from" Untill i found this.. (firstanimaltransport.com.nu)
half the links dont work. there are only 2 payment options. no license number. O and they cant answer the phone because they are busy with flights. Ok that was just too obvious for me. There were way too many pics of ppl answering phones on this site and yet no1 could answer a phone. When I told her I didnt trust the pet airline she was devastated. This lady was crazy. I told her that if she really did have puppies Id pick them up personally or I'd pay a different agency. She hasnt replied yet -20 mins ago. =] But I should have known once I realized there were so many links that led to Other animal transportation businesses. Besides. She had crappy writing. =]

They got me not only me but my young daughters. We have been looking for a horse for some time. Found what we thought was a perfect horse. Her daughter passed away in a car crash and then found out her husband had cancer and they were doing experimental treatments so she couldn't care for the horse. Well I did loose my mother to cancer a year ago my daughters decided to use the money they got from her passing to pay for the transportation of this horse. 3 hours before delivery they want more money for livestock license to cross Utah's border. Unfortunately I found out to late my daughters lost their savings and unfortunately nothing to show for it other than a sad story of little girls who lost what little they got from their Nana to scum who like to prey on people's emotions and steal dreams. They still cry because they still don't have a horse and wasted their money.

And it's still happening today. I also was looking for a Teacup Yorkie. I did send her my phone # but nothing else. I am soooo angry right now. I'd really like to see this bitch in person. A few years ago had to put my 14 year old dog down. She tried to use my grief to try and take advantage of me. The email address is hampvall@yahoo.com
She even sent a fake Califonia drivers license and the address was even legit. She said she was in the peacecorp. It must be the Piece of shit corp! Thankfully I did some research and found this site. The profile was almost and exact match. Thanks for letting people know.

Please beware of suisaramos@yahoo.com, he is offering alaskan malamutes free. The shipping company and emails are fake. They just want your money. I investigated and did not pay anything but my family is sad. I have turned him over to the internet crimes and hope they are prosecuted. He also posts the same pictures under several email addresses in several different cities. I found this person on dogs.oodles.com and reported all the posts to that website but they are still up. Please be careful all!!

A person named Valerie whose email was hampvall@yahoo.com
advertised a free Yorkshire Terrier puppy. Valerie shared that she worked for the American Peace Corps and could not keep her puppy due to harsh weather conditions.
I searched her phone number on the ad, which was 784-527-9293 and it showed numerous offers of this free puppy as well as numerous offers of bulldog puppies...all at different locations.
Valerie needed $260.00 so that she could fly the puppy to me, along with papers of her registration and shots. I realized it was a scam and will now only pay for a rescue puppy by PayPal. People like Valerie sound sincere in wanting to give their puppy to a loving home. Be careful and do your research.

Been looking for a Dane....contacted advertiser who said pups available in Essex. Sent email to them, badly written email from 'Sandrine Cole' came back stating dogs in Wales. (immediately thought puppy farm). Sent email answering all advertiser's questions and asking a lot of my own, about breed lines, health, temperament, colour, whether dam and sire could be seen, how many litters etc, Long answer followed with NONE of my questions answered...a few pics of a mantle Dane which would not download properly. Saying she would use Best Pet Shippers Delivery Agency at cost of £200...no fee for dog, only wanted good home (yeh, like I was born yesterday!). All papers, vet check, health certs, travel cage, insurance papers etc. would be sent with the shippers. Get a lot for your money dont you ?? NOT !!

So the names may change but the scam is still the same.

I was almost scamed today by alex.zander60@yahoo.com who wanted me to transfer money to a shipping company called UK Air Pet Transport Delivery Agency (does not exsist) and their phone number is 07023050796, which I also Googled and it was listed in multiple puppy ads. I was interested in a pug puppy and I found ads for Liverpool, Manchester etc, and every had the same picture, thats when I thought something was up. I wrote this guy (who had very poor english skills) that my husband is a PC in the Met and also that i will report him on all his ads etc. Needless to say I got no reply. Please be careful and ALWAYS google a company! If they have no website and have a yahoo or hotmail email and if the number is a mobile, its all a scam!!!!!

SCAMMERS ON OODLE.COM

I too was almost a victom of a pet scam... On an oodle.com posting. The "seller" claimed to be living in LA, but away on a church mission trip to New York. The initial email was pretty convincing, but the follow up did not add up. It was the same as another poster mentioned. The dog was "at the airport ready to be shipped upon receipt of payment" "need you to go to western union asap to get us the payment to get her on the next flight out." At that point I called it quits, realizing it was a HUGE SCAM!!!!!!!!! These guys are really sick and have no concern for the hard working person. I will NEVER attempt to buy a dog via email again and advise all to do their research before doing so. The info for the "missionary" in NY is as follows:Payment Information For the Shipping Agent:

Receivers Name: Diana Cagianno

Zip Code: 13754
State: New York
Amount To Send : $300

Two days after that they said they have to buy a temperature control crate for the pup and need $1000. I said I don't have any money and they said that the owner of the dog is willing to pay $700 and I have to pay $300. I almost deposit the money for the third time but my father stopped me in time. Almost got scammed today by a man whose email address said Joy White claiming his wife just died and he could no longer care for their 2 pug puppies and wanted $790 for both including transportation from Utah. Said he would be using Rocket Pet Transport which is fake and similar to the legit Rocket Transportation....tricky tricky. I dug around on the fake website and found that payments were to be wired through Western Union to Cameroon. I asked "Joy White" multiple times if we could skype so i can see the puppies and the request was never answered. They were very pushy through email and the wording was not that of a normal english speaking person. Im pretty sure i saw the same pics of the pug puppies on google image too. Too good to be true...unfortunately....so cute!

I almost got scammed today. I replied to an ad on www.adpost.com for English Bulldogs. The guy replied to me and sent pictures and the whole story about how his wife was in a car accident around Christmas (the spelling in the e-mail was awful) and that he took a new job in Washington etc...then I had another person e-mail me that I responded to on the same adpost and had a similar story to the first guy except that they moved to Alaska. That was the first red flag. And of course the puppies were real cheap...all I had to do was pay the transportation cost. Wow! These people are something else. The two e-mail address that tried to scam me are: shanelljohnson@hotmail.com and opanne@yahoo.com. So glad I started doing some research.

Well I am in Wisconsin Verona(USA) from where these puppies will be coming from, but my Husband is the one in control of the puppies and he is in Washington DC (USA), So if you are able to come over for pick up it will be fine, but if you are Unable it's my pleasure to let you know i can do local delivery within the USA locality, and you are rest assured that this shipping process will be successful because we have some Professional Pet Shipping Agency's over here who will handle this shipping process, and also these puppies will be shipped using a Crate which will help to keep these them comfortable and safe during this journey.Well if you don't mine I just wanna know some few things about the home where our puppies will be going to:

Where are you located??
Have you ever Groom an English bulldog puppy before (or any other pet)??
Do you have a Vet or a Pet Hospital Around Your Area Where this puppies can usually be taken to for check up?
will you love to take both puppies?
The Male or The Female?
How Soon Do you want this puppy/puppies?
Hope you don't mind getting back to me with the answers as soon as possible,Below are some of their recent pics and their personalities. ClAIMING SHE HAS BULLDOG PUPPIES JUST PAY THE FEE FOR SHIPPING!

So glad I found this site! Today I was almost scammed by a woman named "Kelly Richards " I found her on a breeding site for Great Danes and when I contacted her for a price on her puppies she said it would cost 450 because her father was a breeder who lived in Washington but he recently passed and she moved the pets to Virginia with her. So she would require I pay the travel agency which was "Rocket Pet Teansportation" and she would drop the pet off today. I received 2 emails and a phone call from a man who spoke very poor English and requested I pay 250 at Western Union to be sent to theurain office in Missouri since their office in Virginia was under auditing and could not accept payments. They said they did the payments through western union because of all the fraud associated with other people pretending to be their company, the web page they sent in the email looked like a slideshow put together hu a 10 year old, thats whrn i googled their email address and sifted through the pages and found this here. They said after i paid the 250 I would receive a confirmation email with all pet information on travel; and the lady who supposedly had the great Dane "lona" said I would pay her the rest if the 450 later in match whenever I choose, and asked that I please contact her when Lona arrived at my house. Luckily I found this page and was able to avoid losing 250.00! By the way, their email was "rocketpettransportservice@usa.com"

Same thing happened to me.. Sounded too good to be true!! Sad that they would make up this whole story about how there mother died and now they had to get rid of puppies cas they reminded them of her. The first thing that was suspicious was that they said they were from IDAHO on the site. Then Seattle in the email.. Where just so happens this shipping company is at. If they did live in ID they would have just brought puppies back from Seattle when they came home. Not shipped them. Said that all I needed to pay was 330 dollars for the shipping of puppies and that they would give all my info to the shipping company!!! Also all the photos were professionally taken. What is wrong with these people!!! They arent very smart.. Im just happy i tied all the knots together before I made a big mistake. Right now Im dealing with them calling my house my cell texting me and sending me emails!!! Your not SCAMMING ME! I guess I have to thank whoever posted that site on the internet about scamming. I read a couple lines and it was exactly the same thing as they emailed me just with a couple word changes. IF THE YWONT GIVE YOU THERE NUMBER OR ADDRESS AND WONT TALK TO YOU ON THE PHONE IS A SCAM

Ooo this is soo terrible that people can't be trusted these days :( Actually, I have been SCAMED by two people in one day. However, the lady at Western Union saved me. I am new to buying things online and was offered on Craig List a Yorkie for only $260,which would just cover the shipping fees, just as ya'll had mentioned earlier. I told her I would not wire the money directly to her, but I would to the company. I gave her my address and the "pet delivery" agency emailed me a very LEGIT looking e-mail. When I went to Western Union to wire the money the clerk stopped me because I had not noticed that it was going to Cameroon, Africa. Praise the Lord there are trustworthy people still out there. The other was a man who says he's a missionary in West Africa living with his family. He told me I had to pay just $150 and he would pay the other $100, and the check needed to be sent to Nigeria. This is terrible!!! But be on the look out for a lady who goes by Kim Moss and a man that goes by Brian McDonald!

Rocket Pet Transport is still at it under Global Shipping... Lisa Parson contacted me after I e-mailed a request for basset puppies. She claimed she had her deceased father's two puppies who needed a good home. She said they would only be $450. Then she claimed that she had to move from WA because of children and job. She claimed that she would ship the male to me and the shipper would contact me.
I had been scammed before, so I was suspicious. When they called...they hung up. They did this 3 or 4 times before they finally spoke but I couldn't understand through their accent. I asked if they were a scam. They hung up.
Lisa e-mailed me asking me what my problem was. I told her this was a scam and how the man was treating me. She gave me a website to which there was a phone number listed. I called it. I couldn't hear the man through all the static. He hung up on me.
I contacted him through their live website. They wouldn't give me their address. They wouldn't explain how the puppy could be in Virginia and get to WA so quickly. They told me I was rude and that they would "barn" me from their site, which I corrected them and told them it was ban not barn.
I asked Lisa for her address and phone number which she will not return an e-mail.
The company/man keeps e-mailing me. His site said they take mastercard, visa, etc. But the last e-mail, like everyone else here, says to send a money order. It tells me where to go to send the money order and where to send it. Like I'm going to break down and do something stupid again.
I wish there were a way to get these evil people caught and end this hateful/hurtful actions.
Thanks for the original posting. It is so sad that this is still happening and they haven't been caught.
Peace to everyone.

Do not fall for "Louis Oman" - louis.oman@yahoo.com or "damion weedon" - damionweedon@gmail.com. Both scams with Pomeranian Puppies/ Bulldogs. I am in Australia and they said they were in Brisbane, relocating to WA and wanted me to pay the shipping fee of $100 when dogs were advertised for $400, they were going to let me pay $300 for the dog. Seemed nice at first.

I found an ad on Okinawa bookoo. We are military stationed overseas. She was selling 2 yorkie puppies, only 8 weeks old. I thought she was here in Okinawa too. It wasn't til the 3rd email that she said she was located in Scotland because she was taking care of her sick "mum" and that since I seemed like a caring person that would provide her "baby" with a very good home, she would give me her for free, and it would be £300 for delivery through a pet shipping company. She was only asking $200 originally when I thought we were in the same place. Well, I said no. She then offered me the other puppy for free also. I stopped emailing her since I figured it was a scam as soon as Scotland was brought up. Lucky me. Her email was andreanobonavista@gmail.com
Another red flag was that she asked for my info so she could transfer ownership and get them ready with the shipping company. I didn't give it to her. One question was home address, but she was posting on a yard sale site for a military base...and was supposed to be from here, but didn't know that there's no street address for on base overseas?

I was almost scammed... but they didn't count on that I'm a web designer and realized their website was a fake.

Tips
look up company name in the better business bureau (bbb.org)
never trust companies with a personal email listed such as name@yahoo, hotmail etc
Look for a physical address on the site (every travel agency of any type will have one listed)
companies don't have extensions at the end of their website (example.webs.com) it should be example.com only..
These people try to take advantage of every one they come in contact with but I going to help get at least one of them caught.

This is the information they sent me:
Name's : Cassandraa Analissa
Country: USA
State: SC
City: North Myrtle Beach,
City Code: 29582

The company name they used was 1st Trust Pet Travel
with a fake website: http://1sttrustpettravel.webnode.com/
please be advised ... these people are SCAMMERS

I was almost scammed for a svannah kitten. Same sad story, my daughter died in a car accident or fron cancer,or I just moved and can ship them. Big flags are western union or monry wiring to a completely diff location, no shipping names of companies, wiring to africa like nigeria or cameroon. Always verify any information online. I googled the ladys email address and found four more sites offering free animals. One of them had been shut down because of confirmation of scamming.. so watch out for badly written english and if its too good to be true then it probably is. Watch out for email address. So I'm obsessed with Savannah cats. So I decided to look online for a kitten that didn't cost my husband and I an arm and a leg. Found someone and texted her.... she claimed to have 3 savannah kittens for adoption to a free home. Note I knew something should have been wrong when she told me her name Meya Miguel. Any parent would recognize this as the name to a CARTOON SHOW. But my son is only 5 months old so he doesn't watch tv. So I picked out a kitten and of course she pressured me to take all "3" but I told her I already had 1 cat and a German Shepherd so I didn't need 1 more. She tried to make us pay $300 to ship the kitten. I told her I wouldn't pay $300 just to ship a kitten. She got pissed at me and said I have basal cell carcinoma and I have to get surgery! Surgery has taken all of my money! (Sicknesses and surgery must be a trend now) and she tried to guilt trip me by explaining wtf basal cell carcinoma was and I simply said I have no pity for you. I have epilepsy and that's NOT curable. Then she snottily replied you can take pills to control it (I have JME which is hard to treat epilepsy and a seizure could strike at any time) I still told her I wasn't paying $300 to ship a kitten. I told her I'm a military wife and I have a child. So then she agreed to split the payment in half between the 2 of us. Asked my husband and he agreed. So he wired the $150. We were supposed to receive her the next day at 2. And 2 came along and she wasn't here. So I checked my email only to see she hasn't been shipped yet because she needs a climate control cage and we would need to pay a REFUNDABLE $650 for the cage. My husband and I immediatly got suspicious. So he called the shipping company. They hung up on him when he questioned why they needed a climate controlled cage when all airplanes these days are and why he should have to pay it if it's refundable. Then Meya Miguel said she would pay $300 of the refundable money and we said no we cannot spend $350 we have bills to pay and this remaining money we have is for groceries. So Meya Miguel changed her mind saying she would pay $400. We reluctantly agreed to pay the remaining $250.......

So the next day rolls around and we can't get ahold of miss Meya Miguel. I waited all day for her to text me back. Finally at about 6pm I got an email from a Doctor Phillipe (they were starting to get pathetic I know) claiming that Meya Miguel had to be put in a coma from her illness and before they put her in a coma she begged and pleaded for him to tell me to pay for the rest of the kitten. (I was like are you f*cking kidding me??) So I was suspicious as hell at this point so I called the hospital. There was no doctor named Phillipe and even better there was no patient there named Meya Miguel....

So now we are out $400, we are a one income family, and we have a baby. We have been eating Ramen and hot dogs for the past week now, and will be until hubby gets paid again.

The pet relocator company said they would hold onto the kitten for 1 month and if the remaining balance isn't paid we will be fully refunded. I'm guessing it's 1 month so I will forget about it. I wont forget about it because it's written on my white board and it's in my cellphone as a reminder.

Beware of pet scams people. It's not worth it. Just go adopt a sweet animal from the shelter. Or make sure the website you are on is legitimate.

You have been warned

I am just now dealing with one by the name of Miranda Condrey with an email address of mirandacondrey@live.com with instructions to proceed to petrelocation.us for payment instructions. This person placed a "free puppy" ad in OregonLive.com.

It really doesn't matter what name, email address or "pet shipping agency website" they give you. It is way too easy to establish fake email addresses and websites. The scammers actually copy and paste html code right from legitimate companies in order to convince you of their validity. Unfortunately, the willingness of classified advertisers to accept scam ads is only one part of the problem - the other part of this problem is ourselves. We want to trust others and we also love our pets and the idea of getting one for free. The only free pet is one that your friend offers to you.

Also, your local police cannot help you with low-dollar international fraud.

Thank god I looked into this before paying the $200...I responded to a Craigslist ad titled, "Little girl Chihuahua free for adoption" they say in the ad that they are looking for the perfect home for her and only good homes should contact them via text at (647)7943475, so I contacted them asking the basic questions, if she gets along well with kids, other dogs, etc..The person I was talking to, said they were moving to the U.S. next week so they needed to find a perfect home for her as they couldn't take her with, but she didn't ask me ANY questions which raised a flag, if you are looking for a great home, don't you want to ask questions??? She just proceeded to tell me that she would pack up all her stuff and get her sent the next day from Ontario to Alberta and asked for our full names, address and phone numbers..the excitement got the best of me so I obliged. But then she texts me today saying that it's all done and that she will be sent through Global Pet Express (mb-shipping.com), and that we need to pay the $200 for shipping via Western Union..and sends me this email

They said they will be sending
you a confirmation email so you have to keep an eye on your email
okay. the address is as follows

Receiver's Names........... JEAN JACK MONI LUMA
Country..................... CAMEROON
State/city..........................MAMFE
Adress............................25 manga Ave
Zipcode.....................00237
Amount....................$200
Test Question........ who?
Answer.......... Ashley

All payments regarding pets movement are sent to their developmental
branch in Cameroon as they did explained to me. they also advised me
to tell you that in-case you are been asked why you are sending the
money, you should them its for personal reasons because if you let them
know its for a company you will be charged a high amount for sending
the money okay? Once you are back from the western union you have to
get back to them with the details or a scan copy of the receipt.

Have a wonderful day and ls do also keep me updated.

Then I looked up the shipping company, because it seems suspicious to me that the payment be sent to Cameroon, rather than somewhere in Canada, and she felt the need to tell me I make sure I say it's for personal reasons...anyways, I stumbled onto all this..thanks everyone for posting about it! You saved us $200 and a lot of anger and grief! The persons email is mireillegines@yahoo.ca. Be careful!!

Hi. I'm from the Philippines and I am currently in touch with a person from Bangkok, Thailand named Paquet Vero through email (paquetvero1@gmail.com) because of me wanting to have a samoyed puppies. I am experiencing the exact situation I read on different sites about fraud/complaints/scams matter. I am already at the Western Union this morning, I was about to give the payment but something is pushing me not to do so. I am very doubtful about this ever since I emailed him for/her because the person seemed to be very eager. I just asked for the price and the person immediately told me that he/she will be going to the agency the next day morning for me to have the puppies delivered on my doorstep. That really sound aggressive to me, I haven't even confirmed it yet but I already received an email the next morning saying that the person already came to the agency and I would have to wait for a call in a few minutes, which I did. The accent was really bad and I barely understood everything he said. He calls me everyday and its been three days. The number is +66963257917.

First thing that came to mind was the email address. Why would an agency use a yahoo account? The agency called itself cargo transport with an email address (pettransportationagency@yahoo.com) with the signed approval of the branch manager named Mr. Alvin Morgan. And the email content was colorful texts with different sizes and fonts. Second was the Western Union. I was summoned to name the transaction with a person named Djame Marc Christian. If it's an agency, why would you send a payment through Western Union in the first place? Should it be paid straight to the company's account?

The person I was talking to the email seemed nice thou. But the person is not smart enough to do such scams. Good thing I searched thoroughly regarding this matter. Everyone should be careful especially purchasing online. Think more than twice. Be doubtful. Use the web to search if it's legitimate. Use your common sense.

I too was scammed today!! I didn't send any money tho. They wanted $175 for husky puppies. They were pushy, took dog to "agency" for delivery. I got a legit looking email all color coded and to send money via Western union. I asked numerous times what airport are they sending dog from and they wouldn't answer my question. Said they are in Colombus, Ohio yet the phone # came up Florida? They kept reassuring me it was legit and I told them I was skeptical and would rather pick dog up myself and they ignored my requests. So no dog for me and my family.
